Benefo Remembered
Saturday,
June 18, 2005 was a sad day for Okyeman Cultural Association of

It was around 10:30 p.m. when the function began with Okyeame Kwaku

followed by prayers by an elder from the Church of Pentecost. Stephen
Brefo Birikorang , his younger brother read the biography followed
by his son, Bright Oduro Benefo and Kwesi Peter on behalf of the
widow, Beatrice Obeaa Oduro Benefo.
The Venue, 90 Westwood Banquet Hall was packed with sympatizers
as Abusuapanin Alex Barning thanked everyone for their support in
this sad time of Okyeman family. Okyeman Cultural troupe and Southern
Volta Association of Canada provided cultural drumming while Kwesi

with Okyeman's own videographer Kwabena Obeng capturing every moment.
